Ethics & Transparency

In 2013, I ran and won the seat of Mundelein Village Trustee with a platform of transparency and open government. The following year, Mundelein was recognized by the Illinois policy institute for online transparency, and placed in the top 1 percent of Illinois communities to earn the award.

As a firm believer that transparency allows citizens of a democracy to control their government, I am proud to sit on the board Lake County Represent.US. an organization that brings together conservatives, progressives, and everyone in between to pass powerful anti-corruption laws that stop political bribery, end secret money, to fix our broken elections.

A proponent of Open Government, I will actively be involved in increasing the online presence of the Lake County Treasurer's office thereby making government more open and accountable. Opening the books and keeping the citizenry informed creates opportunities for economic development, and informs decision making in both the private and public sectors.

Education & Outreach

As someone very active in the community, I will spread awareness of the Lake County Treasurer’s office by implementing educational programs and making them accessible to residents by working with a wide array of community partners, institutions, Elected officials, and online mediums throughout Lake County.

Already active and accessible online and in social media, my Lake County resident followers, subscribe to consistent and regular posts with useful information.

Holding many years of experience representing companies at information tables, I plan to use those skills to personally conduct awareness of the Treasurer’s office, and help facilitate economic development by being present at farmers’ markets, expos, and information fairs throughout Lake County. I will personally be visible, active, and accountable to the taxpayers of Lake County.

Supporting Our Local Business owners

Growing up in a family of business owners, and knowing the local chamber of commerce was your second family, I fully understand that businesses owners are also job creators. Helping entrepreneurs to the maximum capacity of this elected office lifts all Lake County residents to have opportunities for safe communities, good schools, and a great quality of life.

My goal is to make sure we are doing all we can to work with community banks that lend to their neighborhood small business owner. This is my committment to being a responsible steward of Lake County’s investments and providing opportunities for working families.

Additionally, with my tech background, I'm very interested in the possibilities of implementing crowdfunding for small business owners and local civic groups in Lake County.

Servant Leadership

While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant leadership is different. The servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. Treating staff well and collaboration is very important to me.

I want to have a one on one relationship with every staff member asking what their dreams are, and what suggestions they have to make the workplace or current process better. Having a management philosophy that believes in staff potential helps foster creative ideas and helps build trust to facilitate implementation of new practices.

My leadership style means, I'll jump into the trench and dig with you.
